
After an honorable discharge from the United States Armed
Services, Eroll Skyers graduated from Washington & Lee
University with a Baccalaureate in Science in Biology and an
Associates Degree in legal studies from the University of
Bridgeport before acquiring his Juris Doctorate from the North
Carolina Central University School of Law.
Mr. Skyers, who has been inducted as a life member in the
National Registry of Who’s Who, has served as a past Chairman of
the Board of Tax Assessment Appeals for the City of Bridgeport,
Connecticut. He has been admitted to the Connecticut and
federal bars including the districts of Connecticut, Eastern New
York, and Southern of New York. He is an active member of the
American Bar Association, Bridgeport Bar Association, American
Trial Lawyers Association, Connecticut Trial Lawyers
Association, and the Connecticut Criminal Defense Lawyers
Association.
Mr. Skyers has concentrated his practice in criminal and civil
litigation. As a civil trial litigator he has been lead counsel
in a variety of major litigation projects involving civil
rights, multijurisdictional contract disputes, civil, commercial
and other disputes. As a criminal trial litigator, he has
represented clients in both the State and Federal courts. The
criminal matters have ranged from low level infractions to
multiple felonies.
Mr. Skyers, formerly of Skyers & Skyers, PC, is currently one
of six partners with The Barrister Law Group. He currently
serves as a member on the Board of Directors for Family Services
Woodfield and for the Bridgeport Educational Fund.
